Hearing F and H apart is a skill, not a talent. Research on training F and H on their own is scarce, but high variability phonetic training (HVPT), the method TellApart uses, has a long track record on other sounds. Ron Thomson's 2018 review of 32 HVPT studies found strong evidence that it works and that the gains last.
